After a 12hr night shift picked up the missus & kids & headed for Overcombe, arrived at 9am with tide in so dead flat & what looked like a light f4 off shore, but not a cloud in sight :) so popped into weymouth for some breakfast.car park still empty when we went back Johno had arrived.the wind had increased with lots of white caps about so i rigged new 5.7 Rock & Goya , this was fine for a while but wind had afew holes & was up & down so changed up to 103lt flow this was spot on for a while, wind steadliy increased through the day so swapped back to Goya & as the tide dropped some nice waves formed for both jumping & riding.
By 3.30pm i was well overpowered with most people on 5m'ish, Now have been up for 26hrs .worked for 12 windsurfed for nearly 5hrs & Bang mast snaps quite a way out :( leaving me with a swim, thanks to Johno for attemping a tow, worked for a bit. I was surprised only 1 other sailer asked if i was alright out of about 40 with some sailing Real close & 1 guy jumping over my rig (dunno if he could see me as in shoulder high waves,)
Could have rigged my 5.0 but had no energy left.
Highlight of the day getting 3 fast'ish bottom & top turns in on head high wave,
After replacing trashed 5.7 last week credit card will be purchasing another mastnext week....
